When you sign up for a Peak account, we create a bank account to store your Peak savings. Linking your funding source (your bank account) to Peak allows you to start saving for your goals.
To keep you protected, we manually check any Peak account that our system couldn’t automatically verify. So, if you received an email from us with the title “Peak ID Verification Request,” that means our system was unable to automatically verify your identity, and therefore, we have to verify it manually. The manual verification process includes requesting a snapshot of your photo ID, a selfie (so we know that it’s you), and proof of account ownership.
